Chris had to go to California with the BYU Lacrosse team, so we decided to ''tag along'' and see if we could find any fun! Brielle & Dean were fantastic travellers, we only stopped twice on the way to California & once on the way home! 
Brielle & Dean LOVE going to the Lacrosse games...Brielle's favorite part is playing with her friends Hannah & Siri (the head coaches daughters). It was so nice of Phil and Mitch (& Micah) and Nat & Ty to drive all the way to Chapman for the game...I think that was the only good thing about that night (they lost in overtime).
Deano LOVES going on the field after the game. He thinks he is just as big as all the other kids!
Chris & the Bryant's (his sister Elise's family), at the game in Santa Barbara (which we did not go to b/c it was a 2.5 hr. drive). I love this picture...have you ever seen so much cougar pride?
No trip to California would be complete without seeing Mickey!
Small World is one of our favorite rides...Deano is still singing the song!
Last spring when we went to Disneyland Deano wanted NOTHING to do with the characters. He was terrified of them...this year when he saw Woody he could not get to him fast enough. He was the same way with Mickey Mouse and Jessie, but when we went to lunch with the Princesses he wanted absolutely nothing to do with them. He refused to be in any pictures and he would not even look at them when they came to the table. How can a 2 1/2 year old (that is surrounded by girlie stuff and watches princess movies all the time --b/c of his sissy) be so sure that he wants nothing to do with princesses...typical Deano-he knows exactly what he wants!
The second day we went to Disneyland we had our friends Hannah, Siri and Micah, nothing is more fun than Disneyland with best buddies!
I love Deano in this picture (above) he looks totally calm, while Brielle looks freaked out!
We had so much fun at California Adventure with Nat & Ty!
We stayed in Oceanside with Phil & Meiken, who are so much fun! I'm not sure who had more fun the adults or the kids...
We also stayed a few days with Nat & Ty in Newport. While Chris & Tyler drove to Santa Barbara for the game, the girls and Deano went to 'The American Place' at The Grove in LA.
Kirsten got her ear's pierced...which Brielle thought was about the coolest thing ever and we spent an obscene amount of time picking out matching outfits for the doll & Brielle (have I completely lost my mind? maybe!), but it was SO much fun especially because we had Aunt Nat there! Brielle is already planning our next trip back, this time she'd like to take her other doll 'Kit' and get her ear's pierced...oh brother, what have I started?!
Thanks so much to all our family & friends for helping make this a wonderful trip! The kids & I had a great time! Chris' trip involved a little more stress (3 games and he had to speak at the team fireside...not to mention he does not love Disneyland quite like the rest of us) and I think he's ready for another vacation already...so hopefully we'll come back soon...especially considering it snowed today!

What fun! I loved looking at the pictures and reading all about it. I love Dean's calm look as he "races" down the slide. Especially compared to Brielle's look. I also love that he is not interested in the princesses. This is full of wonderful pictures. I love the picture of the two of you because I do not see you often enough. Cool glasses!
Yes what fun! Every pic is such a delight to watch and we "live" the events with all of you! I love your blog, it's full of joy and fun. And it's so nice to see Brielle and Deano, each has a personality on her/his own. I love the last pic with cute Brielle and this marvelous doll. I knew she would love tohave her ear pierced, it's such a beautiful girl thing to have many different ear rings. And I love Disneyland too! What good memories I have of our trip there. Lots of love to everyone. And yes, I agree with Inger, I laughed even when I saw the pic of you two with the funny glasses.
I loved seeing your pics, we missed you while you were away. It is so fun to see your littles having fun in Calif. just like you and Natalie did so many years ago. I love it how Deano puts his sunglasses on upside down. By the way did I mention it snowed while you were gone???

So much fun. My kids haven't been to disneyland yet. But looking at Dean in these pictures I think they are ready the next time we visit california. You all look great! You look tan Tiff! Did you get some good sun in CA? I need some sun!

I love your guys' California trips for some reason, but I do. It looks so fun and I'm just happy that you guys get to do all of the things you love. I LOVE that picture on the ride and Brielle freaking out.
