Welcome Fall!
Sunday, September 20, 2009
We had a little party for Deano at 'Pirate Island Pizza' (it is a fun new place that is a lot like chuck e cheese, only newer & less annoying with better pizza)...he thinks it is the greatest place ever (we drove past a couple days after the party and he started freaking out & yelling 'pizza mom, pizza...please)! We waited a couple extra days to have the party because Chris' older sis & her family were coming to stay with us from California.

Happy Birthday Baby Deano!
My baby is growing up...I could not believe it today when the Doctor told me he weighed 34lbs andis 38.5 in. tall! It feels like if I blink...he's going to be leaving on a mission and 6ft8in tall!
Brielle kept trying to get Dean excited about his birthday and he kept saying for days "No birfday, no birfday" but by the time it was all over he was loving it!
Deano LOVES ''choo choo's" and "brrrum, brrrum's (cars)," his little face was so cute when he came in and saw his new train table town! Don't worry I've already had the glue gun out....gluing as many things as possible to the table (I'm a pathetic control freak)!
Next Stop was a party at Nana and Bobpa's! Dean tried SO hard to blow out his candles but he could never quite get the blowing thing right!
How could anyone resist this little smile!?
Grandma & Grandpa Rueckert sent Deano this Mickey Mouse Clubhouse book (that both kiddo's love) and the first thing Dean did was put his hand up to his mouth (just like Mickey does) and call "Oh toodles," then push the toodles sound button (this will make absolutely no sense to you if you've never watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse), he was so tickled with himself!

Kindergarten!
Today was Brielle's first 'official' day of Elementary school, it is hard to believe she is already a kindergartner!
These pictures were taken last week on the kindergarten 'welcome day' (only 30 min long for them but the other grades started school). She met her teacher whom she loved, she is exactly what a kindergarten teacher should be...super sweet!
This morning was a HUGE adjustment for us...I don't think Brielle's ever had to be somewhere before 9am in her life! She was awake at 7am, telling me over and over that it was her first day of school but then things got moving a little too fast for her...after she got dressed I told her to come 'get her hair done' and she said, "Why is everything so fast, I don't want to go yet!"
She had a few butterflies, but for the most part she was very excited! I think her favorite thing of the day is putting on her backpack...she has to have it clipped together over her chest--at all times! She won't even take it off to ride in the car!
Dean was so sad while she was at school, when we left her in her class and walked to our car he started whining ''Sissy, sissy" over and over...all the way home and for much of the next 3 hours! After I'd told him a hundred times that 'sissy was at school,' he started saying "sissy school, dean school, dean school!" Poor Dean...I think he's taking it the hardest!

Happy 5th Birthday Brielle!
Brielle had her 5th birthday party at the beginning of August. She decided on a 'Fancy French Pink Poodle Party!'
We made dog ears for each of the kiddo's before the party, then had them decorate dog collars & paw bracelets.
Some of the kids LOVED wearing their 'dog stuff,' others were not interested at all...but they all liked the doggy relay race game...where they had to carry chew toys in their mouths and crawl around.
Then, it was time for a little snack...dog food for kids...the ALL loved eating with no hands!
Aunt Linda, Grace & Dean. It was so much fun having Aunt Linda here for the party. Brielle still thinks she came to town just for her party!
I'm really proud of my cute pink polka dot cake....I love it when you're proud of something that you were worried about turning out--my mom's Eiffel Tower salt/pepper shaker and the mini oreo's were perfect!
