Weekend Getaway

We took a little 'weekend getaway' to Park city to celebrate the Asay's anniversary. Friday night we headed up with the bike's...the boys had a "BIG" ride planned on Saturday. They spent the entire drive watching their bikes through the sun roof and their shadows on the side of the car...funny how grown men can get so excited about something and spend 45min. talking about "how fast their bikes look." The Asay's have a ''hook up'' so we stayed at the Escala Lodges...which are amazing! We went to dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse (which was good but I can think of a million other ways I could spend that $)!After dinner it was time to hit the hot tub! When we first put on the robe's Chris made me switch him because mine was so big on me and his was so small...needless to say, it did not make any difference! How can these two opposites be such good buddies? Saturday morning we slept in (which was wonderful), then Chris and Mackay went on their ride while Britt and I hit the Outlet's. We all had a great time! Then we went back to Provo and picked up the kiddo's from Nana & Bobpa's and drove back to Park City. We went to dinner then took the kid's swimming, they had SO much fun! Late that night Mac & Chris disappeared for their annual trip to walmart (the night before Mother's Day...this is the 3rd year), unfortunately Walmart in Park City closes at 10 pm...so they drove all the way to SLC for flowers, balloons & a DVD! Sunday morning they made a big breakfast before we headed back down the canyon. It was a perfect Mother's Day and a wonderful weekend!

The bikes on top of the car actually shaved 10 minutes off the drive and in the end increased our gas mileage...
