Hogle Zoo

We took a little trip to the zoo last week when the sun was shining (it snowed today & it is almost May)! Brielle & Dean loved all of the animals...however they were a bit disappointed that we did not see any bears or a zebra!

Dino Museum!

We went to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point with our cousins Max & Oliver! They all loved it!

Spring Break

Brielle is out of school this week for Spring Break, so we've been trying to do some fun activities...despite the cold! We spent a snowy afternoon at Classic skating.These photo's of Deano are so fuzzy, but he would NOT hold still. Eventually, I had to rent roller skates so I could chase him down! He was literally riding circles around me and everyone else...SCARY!When the sun finally came out, we went to 'Hee Haw Farm' in Pleasant Grove with our buddies Cash and Gracie.

Pigs, pony's, baby goats...what more could these kiddo's ask for?

Easter

We had such a wonderful Easter weekend...full of family & general conference! It was the perfect way to celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior! We are having SO much fun with our cousins Max & Oliver! Sunday afternoon was spent being spoiled by Nana & Bobpa...with another Egg hunt! The Easter Bunny has been waiting for weeks to give the kiddo's these scooters! They have been begging for them for months (Dean can finally stop riding Brielle's pink princess scooter)! Nana & Bobpa were such good sports...and let them ride around the house all afternoon (because it was SNOWING outside)! Chris outfitted Dave (his brother) in spandex and dragged him out on a mountain biking ride between conference sessions on Saturday! It was fun to see them head out together! I'm not sure Dave is going to 'pick up' cycling anytime soon, but he was a good sport!

St. Patricks Day

Brielle told me today that St. Patricks Day is one of her 4 favorite holidays...along with Christmas, Halloween & Easter! WHY you might ask? "Because our Leprechaun comes and brings us balloons and four leaf clover cookies!"

''Day off'' outings!

My kids are always really dissapointed on Tuesday's because it is our ''day off'' and they LOVE going to work (b/c they love nana's house)...so I've been trying to come up with fun activities to do on Tuesdays. A couple of weeks ago we went to the BYU Palentology museum (which takes about 20 min. to walk through but they LOVED it and ran around for an hour. I had some better pictures but I think the kid's accidently erased them.
This week we went to the Bean Museum. I love the Bean-- it does not matter how many times we go, the kids still love it every time!

California Road Trip

Chris had to go to California with the BYU Lacrosse team, so we decided to ''tag along'' and see if we could find any fun! Brielle & Dean were fantastic travellers, we only stopped twice on the way to California & once on the way home! Brielle & Dean LOVE going to the Lacrosse games...Brielle's favorite part is playing with her friends Hannah & Siri (the head coaches daughters). It was so nice of Phil and Mitch (& Micah) and Nat & Ty to drive all the way to Chapman for the game...I think that was the only good thing about that night (they lost in overtime).

Deano LOVES going on the field after the game. He thinks he is just as big as all the other kids!Chris & the Bryant's (his sister Elise's family), at the game in Santa Barbara (which we did not go to b/c it was a 2.5 hr. drive). I love this picture...have you ever seen so much cougar pride? No trip to California would be complete without seeing Mickey!

Small World is one of our favorite rides...Deano is still singing the song!Last spring when we went to Disneyland Deano wanted NOTHING to do with the characters. He was terrified of them...this year when he saw Woody he could not get to him fast enough. He was the same way with Mickey Mouse and Jessie, but when we went to lunch with the Princesses he wanted absolutely nothing to do with them. He refused to be in any pictures and he would not even look at them when they came to the table. How can a 2 1/2 year old (that is surrounded by girlie stuff and watches princess movies all the time --b/c of his sissy) be so sure that he wants nothing to do with princesses...typical Deano-he knows exactly what he wants! The second day we went to Disneyland we had our friends Hannah, Siri and Micah, nothing is more fun than Disneyland with best buddies!

We had so much fun at California Adventure with Nat & Ty!

We stayed in Oceanside with Phil & Meiken, who are so much fun! I'm not sure who had more fun the adults or the kids...

We also stayed a few days with Nat & Ty in Newport. While Chris & Tyler drove to Santa Barbara for the game, the girls and Deano went to 'The American Place' at The Grove in LA.

Kirsten got her ear's pierced...which Brielle thought was about the coolest thing ever and we spent an obscene amount of time picking out matching outfits for the doll & Brielle (have I completely lost my mind? maybe!), but it was SO much fun especially because we had Aunt Nat there! Brielle is already planning our next trip back, this time she'd like to take her other doll 'Kit' and get her ear's pierced...oh brother, what have I started?!

Thanks so much to all our family & friends for helping make this a wonderful trip! The kids & I had a great time! Chris' trip involved a little more stress (3 games and he had to speak at the team fireside...not to mention he does not love Disneyland quite like the rest of us) and I think he's ready for another vacation already...so hopefully we'll come back soon...especially considering it snowed today!
