Welcome Fall!

We are so excited for Fall! We've got our Halloween jammies, decorations up and costumes on! Aunt Nat & Uncle Ty sent Dean this adorable Pirates of the Caribbean dress up set for his birthday! He loves being a pirate...his ''sissy'' has taught him the cutest "Arghhhh" you have ever heard! Three times in the last week Dean has brought me one of Brielle's dress-up dresses and said "Dean sissy, please''...I'm assuming he is telling me he wants to dress up like his sissy but there is no way I'm going to put him in a Minnie Mouse dress...so today I picked up this hilarious costume at Target. He LOVES it! The first thing he did was run around the house as fast as he could yelling "Buzz, Buzz!" Then, he wanted to watch Toy Story (of course) with his Buzz gun. He was so sad (6 hours later) when he had to take it off and get in the bath, he even tried to get me to put it back on before he went to bed...maybe I'm going to regret this! Oh well, don't worry you will NEVER see him out in public dressed as Buzz...that is where I draw the line!
BYU Football...hmmm, where do I go from here? We went to the game last weekend with Chris' sis and family...the highlight was definitely the cute kids!
Dean was beside himself when we bought him this BYU bball jersey! I wish I could record him saying "B Y woow," it is adorable! He points to the 'Y' and says "BYU like Daddy."
Brielle had SO much fun with her 5 boy cousins! They are so sweet with her...she had someone by her side for 4 days straight...she loved it! We love you Bryant boys!

We had a little party for Deano at 'Pirate Island Pizza' (it is a fun new place that is a lot like chuck e cheese, only newer & less annoying with better pizza)...he thinks it is the greatest place ever (we drove past a couple days after the party and he started freaking out & yelling 'pizza mom, pizza...please)! We waited a couple extra days to have the party because Chris' older sis & her family were coming to stay with us from California.
Dean & Brielle's buddy Cash was also their for the fun!Look at the size of those pizza slices! The kids pizza was 24'' and the slices were crazy!Playing on the ship playground with Bobpa
By the end of his second Birthday festivities, Dean was definitely a fan of presents!

Happy Birthday Baby Deano!

My baby is growing up...I could not believe it today when the Doctor told me he weighed 34lbs andis 38.5 in. tall! It feels like if I blink...he's going to be leaving on a mission and 6ft8in tall!
Brielle kept trying to get Dean excited about his birthday and he kept saying for days "No birfday, no birfday" but by the time it was all over he was loving it! Deano LOVES ''choo choo's" and "brrrum, brrrum's (cars)," his little face was so cute when he came in and saw his new train table town! Don't worry I've already had the glue gun out....gluing as many things as possible to the table (I'm a pathetic control freak)!Next Stop was a party at Nana and Bobpa's! Dean tried SO hard to blow out his candles but he could never quite get the blowing thing right! How could anyone resist this little smile!?Grandma & Grandpa Rueckert sent Deano this Mickey Mouse Clubhouse book (that both kiddo's love) and the first thing Dean did was put his hand up to his mouth (just like Mickey does) and call "Oh toodles," then push the toodles sound button (this will make absolutely no sense to you if you've never watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse), he was so tickled with himself!

Kindergarten!

Today was Brielle's first 'official' day of Elementary school, it is hard to believe she is already a kindergartner!
These pictures were taken last week on the kindergarten 'welcome day' (only 30 min long for them but the other grades started school). She met her teacher whom she loved, she is exactly what a kindergarten teacher should be...super sweet! This morning was a HUGE adjustment for us...I don't think Brielle's ever had to be somewhere before 9am in her life! She was awake at 7am, telling me over and over that it was her first day of school but then things got moving a little too fast for her...after she got dressed I told her to come 'get her hair done' and she said, "Why is everything so fast, I don't want to go yet!"

She had a few butterflies, but for the most part she was very excited! I think her favorite thing of the day is putting on her backpack...she has to have it clipped together over her chest--at all times! She won't even take it off to ride in the car! Dean was so sad while she was at school, when we left her in her class and walked to our car he started whining ''Sissy, sissy" over and over...all the way home and for much of the next 3 hours! After I'd told him a hundred times that 'sissy was at school,' he started saying "sissy school, dean school, dean school!" Poor Dean...I think he's taking it the hardest!

Happy 5th Birthday Brielle!

Brielle had her 5th birthday party at the beginning of August. She decided on a 'Fancy French Pink Poodle Party!'

We made dog ears for each of the kiddo's before the party, then had them decorate dog collars & paw bracelets.

Some of the kids LOVED wearing their 'dog stuff,' others were not interested at all...but they all liked the doggy relay race game...where they had to carry chew toys in their mouths and crawl around.

Then, it was time for a little snack...dog food for kids...the ALL loved eating with no hands!

Aunt Linda, Grace & Dean. It was so much fun having Aunt Linda here for the party. Brielle still thinks she came to town just for her party!

She got lots of fun gifts...and even a little help opening them!
Brielle thinks that NO PARTY IS COMPLETE without a pinata.
I'm really proud of my cute pink polka dot cake....I love it when you're proud of something that you were worried about turning out--my mom's Eiffel Tower salt/pepper shaker and the mini oreo's were perfect!

pirates & heros & singers...OH MY!

Once again Dean was sporting his Pirate attire, Cash went for the superhero look & Brielle is very proud of her boys (she helped them get 'dressed up') and performing with her giant mic!Who says superheros can't wear purple princess roller skates while throwing spider webs?!We love spending time with the Asay's. We always have a great time together, but this was one of the funnest nights we've had in a long while...maybe because our kids were crazy!? We decided we needed a little before bedtime snack...so while the boys & kids ate ice cream (at 10:00 at night) we made 'no bake cookies'...and I wonder why Dean ended up looking like this!

The funniest part was that he was SO serious when he was smearing it all over himself! Normally he wants me to wash/wipe stuff off of his hands...but for some reason (maybe sugar overload) he LOVED this chocolate/peanut butter/oatmeal face mask! Note to self--do not bathe child (especially Dean) and put on jammies before feeding him treats late at night!
